Clinique Chubby Sticks have become pretty much of a cult product for everyone. I have never come across a bad review of the product online and I can see why when I got to try one myself.
They are known for their muted shades, a pigmented tint of colour across the lips, high shine and fun and quirky shades. Now to be honest, I wouldn't wear something like an orange, brown or even a hot pink lipstick outside but give me a tint of colour that I feel is muted and controlled and voila, I’ll literally wear out even a purple!
I wouldn’t call it a lip gloss to be honest if that is how they are advertised as. It’s much of a glossy lipstick. Its fantastic how fool proof it is to slather it onto the lips without a mirror. Simply pop the crayon like thing in your bag. Reapplying is not much of a task as its super moisturising so I don’t feel like its drying out my lips.

The one I have is Pudgy Peony which is a sumptuously glossy, cool toned fuchsia pink which is one of my favourite bright shades when it comes to lip colours. It works pretty well for my sallow, yellow skin tone and brightens up my NC35 skin tone like no other shade.
I am not fussed out about longevity really but it lasts 2-3 hours after which it fades to a lovely tint.
Yes the usual range of shades for the Chubby Stick remain but in addition to them, 8 new shades are be released in June 2012, of course in time for the sunny days, so expect more fun and quirkiness your way from Clinique.
Available for £14 each, they are not drugstore cheap but are worth every penny if just like me, you like lip products to be fuss-free yet glamorous. I am hunting down more shades already.
